How to Remove a PCI Card
Before You Begin
Complete these tasks:
■ “How to Power Off the System” on page 5
■ “How to Position the System for Service” on page 14
■ “How to Remove the System Cover” on page 30
■ “How to Avoid Electrostatic Discharge” on page 35
What to Do
1. Disconnect any external cable(s) attached to the faceplate of the PCI card.
2. Disconnect any cables connected to the PCI internal connectors.
3. Using a Phillips No. 2 screwdriver, remove the screw that secures the card to the
chassis back panel.
