3.1.3 TOWING THE MACHINE
The machine is supplied with tow points that are exclusively used for overhauling purposes. The eyebolt
is located at the front of the machine under the chassis (1 in Fig. 19); the second tow point is at the back
of the machine (2 in Fig. 19).
WARNING
TOW POINTS (1 & 2 IN FIG. 19) ARE NOT SAFETY HOOK-UP POINTS.
DANGER
Take great care during towing operations. Incorrect towing of the machine, or errors when selecting
or inspecting the tow cable may lead to serious accidents or even death.
• Always wear safety gloves to handle tow cables.
• Connect a metal cable to the part (1 or 2) shown in Fig. 20.
• During machine towing operations do not stand between the towing vehicle and the towed machine.
• Do not tow the machine along gradients.
• Do not use tow cables presenting cut terminations, having a downsized diameter or twisted parts. In
these case, the cable may break while towing the machine.
