4.6 END OF OPERATING CYCLE
When work with the machine is completed, switch the machine off as described in paragraph «4.4.3. Pipe
layer shut down».
Keep the machine clean and in good operating condition. In these conditions the machine performs
excellently.
4.7 INSTALLATION OF BOOM AND BLOCKS
Install the boom and blocks as instructed below.

TO ENGAGE THE WINCH AND TAKE BLOCK OUT, OPERATE MULTIPLE FUNCTION LEVER (FIG. 42)
SAFETY DEVICE BYPASS KEY (35 IN FIG. 41/A AND 41/B). KEEP MIND THAT WHEN THIS OPERA-
TION IS PERFORMED, ANTI-TIPPING SYSTEM NO LONGER CONTROLS MACHINE STABILITY.
1) Position the pipe layer on a fl at and compact ground.
2) Support the boom, clear it from any obstacles and harness it to a suitable hoist (1 in Fig. 46).
3) Position the ends of the boom in the hinging points and fi t the two pins (2 in Fig. 46). After this, secure
them in place with the two stop pieces.
4) Hook up the boom control block with suitable lifting equipment (2 in Fig. 47) and take it out until it sits
on the supplied hinge. Put the pin in (3 in Fig. 47) and secure it with the supplied stop piece.
