- Check the tensioning again. If it is still not correct, adjust it.
- Continue to pump grease until the correct spacing is obtained between the bar and the shoe top rim.
The tensioning may remain low if the pin and bushing are excessively worn. In this case, tighten or
replace them.
WARNING
If track tensioning does not improve despite the operations above, contact the Manufacturer’s
Service Department.
5.7 ELECTRIC SYSTEM
WARNING
Before checking or working on the electric system refer to the attached electrical diagram.
5.7.1 BATTERIES
The battery compartment is positioned on the left-hand side of
the machine (Fig. 64) and is accessed from the top cover. The
lever for battery release is located alongside of the operator
seat (Fig. 65).
Check the battery condition every 100 hours. Top up the bat-
tery fl uid with distilled water, if necessary. recharge the battery
whenever it is needed.
Clean the clamps every 400 hours and protect them with
Vaseline.
The fl uid in the battery must cover the internal elements.
Check the battery fl uid level before recharging the battery.
Before checking the battery and carrying out the required
service, switch the engine off and remove the terminals.
Measure the battery charge using a volt meter or fl uid level
indicator.
WARNING
Batteries contain sulphur acid. Take great care when
handling them.
It is prohibited to place metal objects between the battery
clamps.
Always disconnect the battery grounding cable and the
positive cable before cleaning, connecting or discon-
necting any cable of the electric system. This can avoid
personal injuries.
