• Hold the starter clutch assembly using the special tool and then
loosen the starter clutch mounting bolt.
( 09920-34810: Starter clutch holder
NOTE:
Do not remove the starter clutch mounting bolt at this stage, only
loosen it. You will need to use it in conjunction with the special
tool when removing the starter clutch assembly.
• Remove the starter clutch assembly 1 from the crankshaft using
the special tool.
( 09930-33720: Rotor remover
NOTE:
See page 3-69 for the starter clutch inspection.
• Flatten the tab on the oil seal retainer and then remove it 2.
• Remove the gear position switch 3.
• Remove the O-ring 4, switch contact 5 and spring 6.
NOTE:
Do not lose the O-ring, switch contact and spring.
