10. Brake System
Brake Disk

Inspection
Visually check the brake disk for wear or
damage.
Measure the thickness of the disk at several
places. Replace the disk if it has exceeded the
service limit.
Service limit3.0 mm
Remove the brake disk from wheel.
Check the disk for deformation and bend.
Service limit0.30 mm
Caution
y The dirty brake pad or disk will reduce the
brake performance.
z Brake pad includes the asbestos
ingredient. Do not use compressed air to
clean the brake system. The operator
should put on gauze mask and glove, use
vacuum cleaner to clean it.
Brake Master Cylinder
Removal
Caution
z Do not let foreign materials enter into the
cylinder.
z The whole set of master cylinder, piston,
spring, diaphragm and cir clip should be
replaced as a set.
Brake disk
Remove the back mirror.
Disconnect the brake light coupler.
Drain the brake fluid.
Remove the brake lever and brake hose.
Remove the brake caliper (bolt x 2).
Remove the rubber cap.
Remove the clip.
Remove the piston and spring.
Clean the master cylinder with recommended
brake fluid.
