Drum Brake System

Rear brake pedal free play
Press down the brake pedal slightly, and
measure the free play before brake
engagement.
Free play：20~30 mm
Turn the brake-adjusting nut clockwise to
decrease the free play. Or turn the nut
counterclockwise to increase the free play.
Brake lining inspection
When pulling the brake lever, if the arrow
mark on the braking arm reaches the triangle
mark on the brake panel, it means that the
brake lining needs to be changed.
Please refer to Chapter 11 and 12 for brake
lining exchange process.
Brake system integrity check
Caution:
z After changing the brake lining or the
brake fluid, you must check the brake
system to see if it works well or not.
