5.4 General device functions
5.4.1 Switching the device on
> To ensure good DAB+/FM (VHF) reception, please fully remove the aerial located
on the reverse of the device. Please also note Section 5.3.3 when doing so.

First prepare the DIGITRADIO 1 for operation as described in Sections 5.3.1 and 5.3.2.

Press the On/Standby button on the top of the device to switch the DIGITRADIO 1 on.
After switching the device on for the first time, you must set the [language].
To do so, use the t or u buttons to select one of the available languages and
confirm the selection by pressing the OK button. The device then automatically
runs a full scan in DAB mode. The display information shows the progress
during the scan, plus the number of digital radio stations found. The first DAB+
station is played after the scan has finished.
