On this tab you can set the sensor gain parameters for your DCx camera (see also Gain and Offset
).

Hardware settings
Analogue amplification of the image signal
Master gain (Contrast) [0 ... 100]
Amplification of all color values, or the grey channel for monochrome cameras. Some camera
models do not possess a master gain. 0 means gain factor 1x. The maximal possible gain factors
differ between the camera models and are not comparable.
Auto
Auto can be activated only for cameras with master gain. After activating Auto the sliding
control and the input field for master gain are updated cyclically. Changing the gain values
(sliding controls or input) deactivates the Auto functionality.
Gain boost
Additional analog hardware gain of the camera; depending on the model, it's value is between
1.5x and 2x
Black level (Offset) [0 ... 255]
Offset for the black level of the signal. By default, the sensor controls the black level of the pixels
automatically, in this case the offset value is 0 (default). At high incident brightness, it might be
necessary to adjust the black level. High gain can shift the black level. Only "additive offset"
(increase of black level) is possible.
