1.Raisethehoodandlocatethebypassvalvesonthe
pump(Figure40).

andallowoiltobypassinternally.
Important:Donotopenthevalvesmorethan
3turns.
Note:Becauseuidisbypassed,youcanslowlymove
themachinewithoutdamagingthetransmission.
3.Closethebypassvalvesbeforestartingtheengine.
Torqueto70N·m(52ft-lb)toclosethevalve.
Important:Ifyoumustpushortowthemachine
inreverse,youmustalsobypassthecheckvalvein
the4-wheel-drivemanifold.Tobypassthecheck
valve,connectahoseassembly(HosePartNo.
95-8843,CouplerFittingNo.95-0985[Qty.2],
andHydraulicFittingNo.340-77[Qty.2])tothe
reverse-traction-pressuretestportMB,locatedon
thehydrostatandonthetestportG2ontherear
tractionmanifold,locatedbehindthefronttire.
