engine,waitforallmovingpartstostopandremovethekey.
2.Disconnecttheclutchwireconnector.
3.Setthemulti-metertomeasureresistance(OHMsetting).
4.Connectonemulti-meterleadtotheengine,chassisorbatteryground.
Connecttheothermulti-meterleadtoeachoftheclutchconnectorterminals.
5.The2clutchconnectorterminalsshouldneverhavecontinuitytoground
andshouldOPENatalltimes.
6.IfcontinuityisfoundbetweenthePTOconnectorandground,thePTOclutch
andthePTOswitchmustbereplaced.
MeasureClutchCurrentDraw
Donotmeasurecurrentdrawiftheclutchhasshortedtogroundorifthe
resistancemeasurementisoutofspecication.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandsettheparkingbrake.Stopthe
engine,waitforallmovingpartstostopandremovethekey.
2.Disconnecttheclutchwireconnector.
3.Setthemulti-metertomeasureamps(10ampscale).
4.ConnectthepositivemeterleadtothechassisharnessterminalA.
5.ConnectthenegativemeterleadtothecorrespondingwireterminalB.
6.ConnectashortjumperleadfromterminalCtoterminalD.
7.Turntheignitionswitchtothe“RUN”positionandthePTOclutchtothe“ON”
position.
8.RecordtheampreadingandrefertothePTOClutchElectricalSpecication
