4.Repeatsteps1-3fortheoppositeside.
5.Fillthecenterofthewheelhubwithhightemperaturegrease.
6.Positionthecasteraxlethroughthebearingandsealassembly.
7.Installaspacernutontobothendsofthecasteraxle.
Note:Thereshouldbeapproximately3internalspacernutthreadsvisibleon
bothsides,indicatingtheaxleiscentered.
8.Positionthesealguardontobothsidesofthecasterwheelhub.
9.Securethecasterwheelassemblytothecasterfork(item6)usingtheaxle
boltandnut.
10.Installtheupperandlowerbearingcupsintothepivottube.
Note:Asocketcanbeusedasadriver.Takecarenottoscartherace
surface.
11.Packthepivottubetaperedrollerbearingswithhightemperaturegrease.
12.Installthelowerbearingintothepivottube.
13.Installthegreasesealintothebaseofthepivottube.
14.Installtheupperbearingintothepivottube.
15.Installthe3Bellevillewashers(item3)intothepivottube.

•Middle:CrownDown
•T op:CrownUp
16.Positionthecasterwheelandforkassemblyupthroughthepivothub.
17.Securethecasterwheelandforkassemblywiththenut.
18.Tightenthelocknutuntilthespringwashersareat20N•m(15ft-lb)and
thenbackoffa¼turntoproperlysetthepreloadonthebearings.
19.Removetheplugfromthesideofthepivothub.
20.Installagreasezerkintotheportonthesideofthepivothub.
21.Fillthepivothubcavityuntilgreaseispurgingoutthroughtheupperbearing.
22.Replacethegreasezerkwiththeplug.
23.Installthegreasecap(item1)ontothetopofthepivothub.
24.Connectthepositivebatterycablerst,thenthenegativebatterycableto
thebattery.

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandsettheparkingbrake.Stopthe
engine,waitforallmovingpartstostopandremovethekey.
2.Disconnectthebatterybyremovingthenegativebatterycablerst,then
thepositivecablefromthebattery.
3.Removethe8screws(4screwsperside)securingthemowerbeltcoverto
thedeck.Removethemowerbeltcovers.
