Bypass Copying
Bypass copying is convenient in the following instances:
• When the size of the paper you require is not installed in the digital multi function’s paper cassettes.
• When you want to use a special type of paper such as OHP film.
* The optional stack feed bypass is required for any of the above.

Place the original(s) on the original feed tray or on
the glass.

Select desired copy mode.

Place sheets of copy paper on the stack feed bypass.
The following message appears:

Align the slide of the stack feed bypass to the width
of the paper to be loaded.
• For type of paper that can be used in bypass copying:
Page 1-7
Select paper size
• Press the or key to select the paper size of
the stack feed bypass and press the
key.
• Extend the paper holder when the size of paper is large.
Tip
• The
or key are used to select the paper size
of the stack feed bypass. When the
key is pressed, the
paper size is set and then copying is started.
