■1. Test mode
Does test operations after installation of air conditioners.
Before test operation
• Before turning on the power, do the following.
1) Confirm that the resistance between the terminal block of the power supply and the earth is more than 1 MΩ
using a 500-V megohmmeter.
If resistance of less than 1 MΩ is detected, do not run the unit.
2) Check that all of the outdoor unit valves are opened fully.
• To protect the compressor at activation time, turn on the power for 12 hours or more before doing a test
operation.
• Before doing a test operation, remove the protective sheet that was applied to the remote controller as the factory
default setting.
Execute test operation
Use the remote controller to check operations. For the operation procedures, refer to the Owner’s Manual provided.
You can do forced operations by using the test mode function in the following procedure, under conditions that the
thermostat is off.
This test mode function will automatically stop after 60 minutes, to prevent continuous forced operation, and do
normal operation (operation according to set temperature).
* Thermostat off: When the temperature of the room reaches the set temperature, the compressor of the outdoor unit stops,
and operation switches from “Cool” or “Heat” to “Fan”. The indoor unit is operating, but the outdoor unit repeatedly turns on/
off in response to the room temperature.
• This test mode function does forced operation that ignores the set temperature, so be aware of the room temperature and
be sure to do a stop / end operation when your work is finished.
• This test mode function puts a higher than normal load on the equipment, so only use it for inspections and to check
operations.

[ ] and [ ] to select “Test mode”, and
then press [ Set/Fix]
Test mode is set, and returns to the “Field setting
menu” screen. Press the [ Return] button 2 times,
to open screen (2).
