2. Using Crankcase Separator/Crankshaft Remover and
tapping lightly with a rubber mallet, separate the
crankcase halves. Account for two alignment pins.

NOTE: To keep the shaft/gear assemblies intact for
identification, tap the shafts toward the left-side
crankcase half when separating the halves.

noting the location of the front and rear bearing
locating pins and the center bearing locating ring.

2. Remove the reverse idler assembly (B). Account for

shaft (2), and outer washer (3).
