Connecting the Power Supply
Caution
To avoid damage to the MPRX, first connect the reader to Earth Ground using a ground cable
and stake before powering up the reader or connecting to an antenna. TransCore recommends
following the National Electric Code or equivalent code for surge protection for the locale
where the MPRX is installed. A minimum of 18 AWG wire to earth ground is required for
protective earthing.
Connect any antenna(s) or terminate the antenna ports before applying power to the reader.
Connect the MPRX to a Power Supply
1. Connect the MPRX to Earth Ground. Figure 11 shows the location of the MPRX ground stud.
