Tightening/adjusting the conveyor belt
The conveyor belt must run in the centre of the pulleys. The belt run is
adjusted by means of the 4 tensioning- and adjusting screws. The pressure
of the tail pulleys against the belt is either increased or decreased. Conveyor
belts require a certain tension to operate efficiently. When tensioning, the
belt must not be stretched by more than 0.2 %.
Requirements:
Machine has been taken out of operation.
Machine has been secured to prevent it from being switched on inadvert-
ently.
Release the covers
Complete the following steps:
1. Release the joining elements for the finger guard plates (1) on both
sides.
2. Lower the finger guard plates (2).
The covers have been released.
