Replacing the flange bearings
The following steps are applicable to all drive versions. Only replace flange
bearings in pairs.
Requirements:
Machine has been taken out of operation.
Machine has been secured to prevent it from being switched on inadvert-
ently.
For drive pulley: The gear motor has been disassembled.
Disassemble the
flange bearings
Increased risk of accident!
The drive pulley may tilt and crush parts of the body.
Secure the drive pulley to prevent it from falling.
Use hoists to raise and lower the drive pulley.
Complete the following steps:
1. Release the joining elements of the flange bearings (1) on both sides.
2. Release the counternuts (2) on both sides and turn back the tensioning
screws (3).
