Facing Thicker than 1-1/2” (38mm).
The screen assembly may be positioned 1/2” (13mm) to 1-1/2” (38mm) from the front of the fireplace to allow
facing to tuck under the screen assembly. Facing thicker than 1-1/2” (38mm) may also be used, however the
screen assembly will be recessed into the facing rather than overlapping facing.
NOTE: Pay close attention to the following thick facing requirements when planning installation of facing
material over 1-1/2” (38mm) thick.
If facing greater than 1-1/2” (38mm) is used, make sure to leave a 3/8" (9.5mm) gap above the screen assembly
and 1/8” (3.18mm) to the sides and below. This gap is required to allow for the screen assembly to be removed.

MINIMUM GAP
This provides 3/8” (9.5mm) gap above
screen assembly, 1/8” (3.2mm) gap to the
sides and below.
3/4” (19mm) 5/8” (16mm) 3/8” (9.5mm)
UNIFORM GAP
This provides 3/8” (9.5mm) gap around all
sides of the screen assembly.
