2.11.5 MAP_DATA_CACHE_v2
This is where SkyLink will store all map imagery that it has downloaded from the web. This is
necessary so that the data will be available when there is no internet connection. To clear the cache,
delete this folder. Note SkyLink version 1.2 MAP_DATA_CACHE folder is NOT compatible with
version 1.5 and new data will need to be downloaded.
2.11.6 MapImagery
Use this folder to add your own imagery to the map. SkyLink will attempt to add any file it finds in
this folder to the map at startup. It is recommended to put files of the same type in their own
subfolders.
2.11.7 OrionFirmware
This is where SkyLink will store updates to the OrionFirmware it downloads from the web.
2.11.8 Recordings
This is where SkyLink will store all the video files it records. The directory will contain a sub-folder
for each Year/Month/Day, and the files written will be of the form “HH_MM_SS_SSS.ts” where HH is
hour, MM is minute and SS_SSS is second-milliseconds.
Transport stream or “ts” files are a digital recording standard format that can contain multiple
video and metadata streams. The ts files recorded by SkyLink can be replayed in most common
video apps (Windows Media Player, QuickTime, VLC Media Player) as well as in any application that
supports replaying MISB-compliant video.
