7.1.2 Interface Connectors
Both the video and GPS connectors are female SMA receptacles; interface connectors should be
plugs with a male pin center conductor. The supported GPS antenna is an L1, 3.3V active antenna;
alternatively, GPS data can also be accepted over an Ethernet or serial interface. The primary
interface connector is used to provide power, communicate with the gimbal, and connect the gimbal
to ancillary systems such as magnetometers; the primary interface connector is Glen air part
number GRPM2L-51PCBRR1TN which conforms to MIL-DTL-83513, Micro-D connectors. The
recommended interface connector is Glenair MWDM2L-51S-6K5-18M which has 18” long flying
leads. Since these connectors can have extended lead times, they are stocked and available for
purchase from Trillium. A terminated version for use in a desktop environment is also available
from Trillium, part number 50-0742.
