from the top of the door. Therefore, there must be at
least 91 cm (3 ft) of clearance above the oven.
• Locate the oven no more than 1.2 m (4 ft) from the
required electrical power source (see Appendix C).
Ensure that the distance does not place stress on the
power cord. The power source must be wired by a
qualified electrician.
• Connect the oven to a power source that provides proper
voltage and current (see Appendix C). Ensure that the
oven, power source, and ground code requirements are
compatible.
• The oven power source must have a reliable earth
ground connection, or a hazardous condition may occur
during oven operation.
• Keep all cords away from the top and sides of the oven.
• Burning asphalt releases carbon monoxide. Ensure that
the oven is properly ventilated.
• Locate the oven in a well-ventilated room with access to
a fume hood or other suitable ventilation system. If the
exhaust duct shipped with the oven is used, locate the
oven no more than 4.6 m (15 ft) from the exhaust outlet.
Be sure to sufficiently insulate the exhaust duct. Follow
local code for exhaust outlet.
• Do not restrict the airflow in and around the bottom of
the oven.
• Do not place any objects, other than those specified in
this manual, into the oven chamber.
• Remove all extraneous material in or around the oven.
• Keep the area around the oven clear and free from all
combustible materials, gasoline, and other flammable
vapors and liquids. Failure to do so could cause fire or
explosion.
