20. LIFT CALLPOINT INSTALLATION
The Lift Callpoint (P/No. ZXT942) is used to
initiate an alarm call from inside a lift car.
Note: the ZXT943 model is the same but with
custom engraving.
The callpoint requires four wires via the Lift
Company’s travelling cable to an interface unit
in the motor room.
The interface unit is connected to the system
network like a standard intercom.
INSTALLATION
The Lift Callpoint is designed to be retrofitted in place of an existing Tunstall Telecom lift unit. It requires a horizontal
cut-out 212mm x 94mm with 4 fixing holes on 216mm x 106mm centres.
TERMINATION
Connect the Lift Company’s travelling cable between the Lift Callpoint and the Interface Unit in the motor room.
Connect the interface unit to the Advent XT2 network wiring as shown above.
A normally open clean contact, momentary action low-level Kick Switch (supplied by others) can be connected across
the KICK & 0V terminals in the lift car as shown above.
Set the next available unique 8 bit binary address via DIL switch 1.
PROGRAMMING
The Lift Callpoint must be included in total number of intercom units set in the RS485 Network Setup programming
and its ID must be set in the Tenants Units Create/Edit programming see the Advent XT2 Programming Manual (Doc
No FM0815).
SURFACE MOUNT ABS OPTION
The Lift Callpoint is also available in a standard Advent XT2 surface mount ABS intercom case with integral alarm
pullcord (P/No. ZXT944). Connection of this unit is identical to the ZXT942 above.
IMPORTANT
The fascia must be
bonded to the Mains
Earth terminal with a
minimum of 2.5 mm
2
cable in line with
current IEE regulations.
