12. PA AMPLIFIER INSTALLATION
The Advent XT2 PA amplifier (P/No. ZXT901) allows the onsite manager to broadcast Public Address announcements
through all intercoms simultaneously. It can also be used to supplement the building’s Fire Alarm system by sounding
a fire alarm tone through all intercoms. One PA amplifier can drive 80 intercoms, for larger systems a second ZXT901
will be required and the site Audio 2 SP1 & SP2 wiring must be on a separate leg and terminated in SP3 & SP4 on the
Termination Board. Contact Tynetec’s customer support for advice on larger installations.
The PA amplifier lid should only be removed during installation and service it must be screwed
shut at all other times to prevent the risk of electric shock.
Never leave a live PA amplifier unattended with the lid removed.
INSTALLATION
The PA Amplifier is housed in a steel enclosure 200x500x100 mm (HxWxD) and should be wall mounted below the
Advent XT2 controller. Fix the chassis to the wall using the 3 keyholes marked “A” below;
