4 Client program

4.1 Overview of DVR

z RAMS_M4 (Remote Access & Monitoring System MPEG4) is used to remotely access,

monitor, and operate the DVR for real-time live viewing, playback, backup, on-the-fly recording,

and control over the LAN/WAN.

z UniPlayer_M4 is a viewer with functions for recording, capturing, & backing up files.

z QuickInstaller_M4 is a setup configuration template for quick & easy, multiple unit setup

using RS-232 or network. It can used to derive setting parameters of DVR system and to save

setting parameters to DVR system. Up to 8 users can access to it at the same time.

z DirectX 8.0

z Explorer 5.0

z VGA Card for over 2 x AGP

z Video card memory 64MB memory (the latest graphic cared driver)

z Resolution 1024 x 768

4.2 Installation & execution of program

z Please use DirectX 8.0 or newer.

z To ensure optimal performance, install the latest graphics driver.

z Install DVR by clicking on the DVR_MPEG4_Verx.x_Setup.exe file.

z Rams_M4.exe, Uniplayer_M4.exe, QuickInstaller_M4.exe icons will be placed on the desktop

after a successful installation.

z UDR400 Series’s PC Program (Rams_RT, UniPlayer_RT, QuickInstaller_RT) are compatible

with UDR300 Series.
