Attaching the machine
When attaching the machine there is an increased risk of personal in-
jury.
Attention will assure yours and others safety.
Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious injuries.
Therefore, when connecting the machine you should be sure that:
• The machine cannot detach itself from the tractor.
• The tractor's P.T.O. shaft must be 1” 3/8 with 6 splines and able to
run at 1000 rpm.
> Lift the machine well clear of the ground.
> Tighten the tractor's stabiliser chains.
Because of the increase in weight, it is recommended that the tractor's
left-hand stabiliser chain is tightened up more than usual, so that the
machine is pulled as tight as possible.
> Attach the P.T.O shaft to the tractor.
> Set/adjust the length of the top link, as shown.
• The setting shown will produce a stubble height of approximately
50 mm.
Fine tuning the stubble height should be undertaken in the field.
