Parking and Storage
Storage
When the season is over, the machine should be readied for winter
storage: Carry out the following:
• Clean the machine thoroughly.
→ »Cleaning« Page 48.
• Change the oil in the transmission case.
→ »Lubricants« Page 97.
• The hydraulic quick coupling should either be covered with a dust
cap or should be placed in a small plastic bag.
• The P.T.O. shaft is cleaned, oiled and placed in storage some-
where dry so as to avoid damage and rust.
• Always make sure that the machine's safety equipment is not worn
out or damaged.
• Bleed as much excess hydraulic pressure from the cylinders, ac-
cumulator and hoses as possible.
• Place the machine in a ventilated machine room.
Safety
The machine shall be secured when parked
the machine shall be properly secured when parked in storage.
Properly secured machines prevent serious accidents.
If the machine is not properly secured when parked, serious injuries
and death can result.
Park the machine in the working position
The machine should always be parked in the working position.
This prevents the machine from tipping over and causing serious ac-
cidents.
If the machine tips over, it can result in serious or even fatal injuries.
Therefore, when disconnecting make sure that:
• The machine is in the work position.
• All of the machine's parking stands are in the correct position.
• The machine is placed upon a horizontal and level surface.
• The tractor must not roll after being disconnected.
• The tractor is halted, the handbrake is applied and the ignition key
removed.
• Children must never be left to play close to the machine.
