Determining the flow temperature with weather compensation
The heat pump control unit determines the set flow
temperature for each heating/cooling circuit from the
following values:
■
Selected set room temperature according to time
program (reduced, standard, comfort)
Operating instructions for the heat pump or
ViCare app
■
For room heating:
–
Heating curve (slope, level)
Operating instructions for the heat pump or
ViCare app
–
Room temperature influence in heating mode
■
For room cooling:
–
Selected fixed flow temperature (parame-
ters 2405.0, 2406.0, 2407.0, 2408.0)
Or
–
In conjunction with Vitotrol 100-EH: Room temper-
ature and factory-set flow temperature
Or
–
In conjunction with ViCare climate sensor: Room
temperature and room humidity
■
Adjusted outside temperature
The set flow temperature determined by the heat pump
control unit can also be corrected and limited:
■
Offset for flow temperature
■
Temperature limits
When heating or cooling is required, the heat pump
control unit of the indoor unit actuates the refrigerant
circuit controller of the outdoor unit. A request is sent
to the compressor, which modulates depending on the
demand from the heating/cooling circuits.
Adjusted outside temperature
In order to reduce the influence of short-term tempera-
ture fluctuations, the measured outside temperature is
averaged using a mathematical procedure. A time con-
stant can be set as an attenuation factor in parame-
ter 919.0 for this purpose.
To compensate for sensor-related deviations, a correc-
tion value (offset) can be set for the measured outdoor
temperature in parameter 896.0.
Room temperature influence in heating mode
In heating mode, if room temperature influence is acti-
vated (parameters 933.6, 934.6, 935.6, 936.6), the
required room temperature is taken more into account
when determining the set flow temperature. The higher
the room temperature influence (parameters 933.7,
934.7, 935.7, 936.7), the greater the adjustment to the
set flow temperature.
Offset for flow temperature
In the following cases, the set flow temperature can be
corrected with an offset:
■
For heating/cooling circuits with mixer (parame-
ters 933.5, 934.5, 935.5, 936.5)
■
For cooling circuits with ViCare climate sensor
(parameters 2421.0, 2422.0, 2423.0, 2424.0)
An offset may improve the control characteristics of the
mixer and prevent the mixer from being permanently
open.
Temperature limits
The set flow temperature determined by the heat pump
control unit can be limited separately for each heating/
cooling circuit. If, for example, higher set flow tempera-
tures result for room heating, the set flow temperature
is reduced to the limit set under "Max. flow tempera-
ture". If, for example, lower set flow temperatures
result for room cooling, the set flow temperature is
increased to the limits set.
In systems with an external buffer cylinder, the buffer
temperature can also be limited (only for indoor units
with 1 integral heating/cooling circuit).
