Adjusting minimum flow rates to the system hydraulics
Note
The Hydro AutoControl function cannot prevent the
refrigerant circuit from cycling in the following cases:
■
Incorrect design/engineering of the system
■
Hydronic balancing not carried out
■
Heating/cooling curve set unfavourably
The current system-specific flow rate for the integral
heating/cooling circuits and the DHW cylinder can be
checked. To do this, the position of the 4/3-way valve
is set via the actuator test on the HMI programming
unit such that water flows through the respective sys-
tem component. The flow rate can then be called up
via the ViGuide app in the "Operating data" menu.

pump and ViGuide app
Note
In this case, it is not possible to call up the information
on the HMI programming unit, as this would require
exiting the actuator test and switching to the "Informa-
tion" menu.
Minimum flow rates for heating/cooling circuits in
systems without external heating/cooling water
buffer cylinder
Heating/cooling circuit 1
■
Settings via the actuator test:
–
Position of the 4/3-way valve: ≙ 0 % to < 5 %
–
Secondary pump/heating circuit pump for heating/
cooling circuit 1: On
–
For indoor units with 2 integral heating/cooling cir-
cuits, heating circuit pump for heating/cooling cir-
cuit 2: Off
■
The minimum flow rate is given via the set speed for
the integral secondary pump/heating circuit pump for
heating/cooling circuit 1 in parameter 1102.2.
■
If the minimum flow rate is not reached, set the fol-
lowing additional parameters, e.g. if there is a
higher pressure drop:
Min. and max. speed of the integral heating circuit
pump for heating/cooling circuit 1 in parame-
ters 1102.0 and 1102.1
Heating/cooling circuit 2
■
Settings via the actuator test:
–
Position of the 4/3-way valve: ≙ 50 %
–
Heating circuit pump for heating/cooling circuit 1:
Off
–
Heating circuit pump for heating/cooling circuit 2:
On
■
With the 4/3-way valve in this position, the flow rate
can be split in the direction of heating/cooling cir-
cuit 2 and the integral buffer cylinder. As the flow
sensor can only detect the entire flow rate, the value
displayed in ViGuide in relation to heating/cooling cir-
cuit 2 may not be correct: See Fig. 13.
The flow rate for the integral heating/cooling circuit 2
may have to be determined on site.
■
The minimum flow rate is set via the min. and max.
speeds for the integral heating circuit pump for heat-
ing/cooling circuit 2 in parameters 1103.1 and
1103.2.
■
If the minimum flow rate is not reached, set the fol-
lowing additional parameters, e.g. if there is a
higher pressure drop:
Set speed of the integral heating circuit pump in
parameter 1103.2
Note
The max. flow rate for heating/cooling circuits 1 and 2
can also be limited manually using the actuator test via
the ViGuide app, e.g. for hydronic balancing.

Minimum flow rates for heating/cooling circuits in
systems with external heating/cooling water buffer
cylinder
The minimum flow rates are set for all heating/cooling
circuits via the heating/cooling circuit pumps.
Minimum flow rates for DHW heating
Settings via the actuator test:
■
Position of the 4/3-way valve: ≙ ≥ 95 % to 100 %
■
Secondary pump/heating circuit pump for heating/
cooling circuit 1: On
If the minimum flow rate is not reached, set the follow-
ing parameters:
■
Min. and max. speed of the integral secondary pump
in parameters 1101.0 and 1101.1
■
Set speed of the integral secondary pump in param-
eter 1101.2
