Switching on emergency mode
Operating instructions for the heat pump,
ViCare app or ViGuide
Note
With a heat pump cascade, emergency mode has to
be switched on at each heat pump separately.
Booster heaters for emergency mode
The following booster heaters are available for emer-
gency mode:
Instantaneous heating water heater
The instantaneous heating water heater installed in
the indoor unit takes over heat generation in emer-
gency mode. The instantaneous heating water
heater must therefore be enabled for room heating
and DHW heating (parameters 2340.0 and 2340.1).
If necessary, the instantaneous heating water heater
can be enabled via parameter 2544.0 during the
power-OFF period.
Note
Higher energy costs are incurred in emergency
mode with the instantaneous heating water heater.
External heat generator
If an external heat generator is connected via the
EM-HB1 extension (accessories), the room is heated
solely via the external heat generator in emergency
mode. DHW is still only heated via the instantaneous
heating water heater in emergency mode.
The external heat generator must be enabled for
room heating (parameter 2796.0); the instantaneous
heating water heater for DHW heating (parame-
ter 2340.1).
