Changeover heating/cooling
Changeover between heating/cooling in systems
with external buffer cylinder
In the spring/autumn, there may be a need for both
heating and cooling on the same day, e.g. with outside
temperatures of 8 °C in the morning and 28 °C at mid-
day. In this case, the heating water in the buffer cylin-
der must be heated in the morning and cooled during
the course of the day.
It is not possible to use a 3-way valve to bypass the
buffer cylinder. Automatic changeover between heating
and cooling mode is therefore not possible. The
changeover between heating and cooling mode must
be made manually.
Operating instructions for the heat pump
Set buffer temperature:
In heating mode, the set buffer temperature is
always the highest set flow temperature of all con-
nected heating/cooling circuits.
In cooling mode, the set buffer temperature is always
the lowest set flow temperature of all connected
heating/cooling circuits.
Changeover between heating/cooling in systems
without external buffer cylinder
In systems without an external buffer cylinder, the sys-
tem automatically switches between heating and cool-
ing mode.
Start cooling mode:
Cooling mode starts if the adjusted outside tempera-
ture is greater than or equal to the set room tempera-
ture for cooling plus the start threshold (parame-
ters 2413.0, 2424.0, 2425.0, 2426.0).
If a room temperature sensor is installed, the follow-
ing condition must also be met:
Room temperature is greater than or equal to the set
room temperature for cooling plus the room tempera-
ture limit value for the start hysteresis (parame-
ters 2452.0, 2453.0, 2454.0, 2455.0).
End cooling mode:
Cooling mode ends if the adjusted outside tempera-
ture is lower than the set room temperature for cool-
ing plus the start threshold (parameters 2413.0,
2424.0, 2425.0, 2426.0) and minus the stop thresh-
old (parameters 2413.1, 2424.1, 2425.1, 2426.1).
Or, if a room temperature sensor is installed:
Room temperature is greater than or equal to the set
room temperature for cooling plus the room tempera-
ture limit for the start hysteresis (parameters 2452.0,
2453.0, 2454.0, 2455.0) and minus the room temper-
ature limit for the stop hysteresis (parame-
ters 2452.1, 2453.1, 2454.1, 2455.1).
Start heating mode:
Heating mode starts if the adjusted outside tempera-
ture is lower than the summer economy mode tem-
perature threshold (parameters 1395.1, 1396.1,
1397.1, 1398.1) minus 1 K.
Or
Heating mode starts if the adjusted outside tempera-
ture is lower than the set room temperature plus the
hysteresis of the outside temperature economy func-
tion (parameters 2426.1, 2427.1, 2428.1, 2429.1)
minus 1 K.
