Messages are displayed on the HMI programming
unit as well as via the ViGuide user interfaces.
■
The possible messages vary according to the system
equipment. Therefore, not all messages will come up
for every system.
■
Note the information in the instructions for the rele-
vant heat pump.
■
Perform steps according to the specified sequence.
Information on troubleshooting
Safety information must be observed: See chapter
"Safety information".
Working on the system
■
Switch off the power supply to the indoor unit and
outdoor unit, e.g. at a separate fuse or mains isola-
tor. Check that the system is no longer live.
Note
In addition to the control circuit there may be several
power circuits.
Danger
Contact with live components can result in
severe injuries. Some components on PCBs
remain live even after the power supply has
been switched off.
Prior to removing covers from the appliances,
wait at least 4 minutes until the voltage has
completely dropped out.
■
Safeguard the system against reconnection.
■
Wear suitable personal protective equipment when
carrying out any work.
Danger
Hot surfaces and fluids can result in burns or
scalding. Cold surfaces may cause frostbite.
■
Prior to servicing or maintenance tasks, switch
off and allow the equipment to cool down or
warm up.
■
Do not touch hot or cold surfaces on the appli-
ance, fittings or pipework.
!
Please note
Electronic assemblies can be damaged by elec-
trostatic discharge.
Before beginning work, touch earthed objects,
such as heating or water pipes, to discharge any
static.
!
Please note
Repairing components that fulfil a safety func-
tion can compromise the safe operation of the
system.
Replace faulty components only with genuine
Viessmann spare parts.
Work on the refrigerant circuit
!
Please note
Refrigerant can escape when working on the
refrigerant circuit.
■
It is essential that regulations and guidelines
on handling refrigerant are always observed
and adhered to: See chapter "Safety informa-
tion".
■
Work on the refrigerant circuit must only be
carried out by a certified contractor (in accord-
ance with Regulations 2024/573/EU and
2015/2067).
!
Please note
Repairing components that fulfil a safety func-
tion can compromise the safe operation of the
system.
Do not undertake any repairs on the inverter.
Replace the inverter if there is a defect.
Notes on measures involving "Isolating ... from the power supply"
Isolating the indoor unit from the power supply
The indoor unit can be isolated from the power supply
via the ON/OFF switch on the indoor unit or via the
fuse for the mains connection of the indoor unit.
Isolating the outdoor unit from the power supply
The outdoor unit is isolated from the power supply via
the fuses for the mains connection of the outdoor unit.
Isolating the system from the power supply
See also chapter "Safety information".
