Option Description Example
Inorganic
Mode
Displays anything metallic, such as a cell phone, knife, or
firearm.
Pseudo
Mode
Displays the image in different shades depending on the
thickness and density of the object.
Pseudo
triggers the
Dynamic Contrast Enhancement algorithm. By default, a
contrast sweep feature activates which is like displaying the
item a layer at a time. To stop the auto-contrast feature, click
the
Pseudo
button again. To go through the contrast (a slice at
a time), click the contrast control .
Black &
White
Mode
Displays items in black and white based on the attenuation of
materials (density and thickness).
Negative
Mode
Displays the image in inverse video mode. The background
appears black and the scanned item’s image appears lighter;
the thicker and denser objects appear lighter.
Jet/Mix
Mode
Displays the image in enhanced mode to reveal information
about image areas that appear black (dense) in a scan.
Enhanced image coloring is used to assist in differentiating the
objects.
