5. Conducting a scan
Users are provided security access to the system based on their roles set by an administrator or supervisor in the
User Management section of the administration module:

Operator – Accesses the BioSans™ application to conduct a scan.
l
Supervisor – Accesses the User Management section of the administration module to create operators with
usernames and passwords and copy archive data.
NOTE
If selected by the administrator, the supervisor may have access to the detection lists, the TIP
parameters, and the risk assessment parameters.
l
Administrator – Accesses the administration module to create operators and supervisors with usernames and
passwords, manage the archived data, update software, and edit settings such as the display language. If
available, the administrator can also set the detection lists, Threat Image Projection (TIP) parameters, and risk
assessment parameters options.
l
Technician – Accesses the XR3D diagnostics software using the keypad.
NOTE
To conduct a scan, you must be logged in as an operator.
