8.4 Removing Fuel Tank, Muffler, and Muffler Cover

8.4.1 Remove any remaining fuel by using the carburetor drain (a). Dispose
of fuel in proper manner.
8.4.2 Remove the M6 mounting nuts (b) and M6 bolt (c).
8.4.3 Disconnect fuel hose (d) from the carbuertor and remove the fuel tank
(e) from the engine.
8.4.4 Remove the M6 flange bolts (f) from the muffler cover (g) and remove
the muffler cover.
8.4.5 Remove the two M8 nuts (h) securing the muffler to the cylinder head.
Remove the M8 screw (i), the muffler (j), and the gasket (k).
8.4.6 Seal the exhaust port (l) with adhesive tape, or plug it with cloth.
