Reassembly Procedures WM 130/170/270 Repair
wc_tx000379gb.fm 76
9.29 External Inspection
9.29.1 After reassembly is complete, check that the wiring is correct and that
there are no loose nuts and bolts or any other faults on the outside of
the engine.
9.30 Engine Oil
See Graphic: wc_gr001822
Using engine oil of the correct grade and viscosity greatly lengthens
engine life and improves performance. Too much or too little oil can
result in serious engine problems, including seizure.
9.30.1 Always use the automotive-type engine oil of the viscosity shown in the
table. Adjust the viscosity level as temperatures dictate.
9.30.2 Check engine oil level before each use of the engine. Change engine
oil according to the maintenance schedule.
Note: When using multi-grade engine oil, consumption rate tends to
increase when the air temperature is high.
