3.6. Alarm messages
In the case of problems or faults, the alarm LED lights up (see chapter 3.1) and the device stops supplying current.
To help the user identify the source of the problem more easily, the unit displays a text message indicating the probable cause
of the malfunction.
After solving the problem, press the MODE button to reset the device and resume work.
For further assistance, contact WALTER Customer Service (walter.com).
The thermal protection system has been activated (see chapter 1.2). It
will not be possible to restart the device until it has cooled down.
The device has detected a voltage surge in the mains power supply;
the problem does not lie in the unit.
Check the electrical system before resetting the device.
There is a cooling fan malfunction (such as a foreign body that prevents
it from rotating).
Carefully inspect and clean the fan slots (you may need to open the
unit to check carefully) and then try to reset the device.
The device has detected a current change in the mains power supply;
the problem does not lie in the unit.
Check the electrical system before resetting the device.
Short-circuit protection has been activated (see chapter 1.2).
This usually occurs when a spark occurs between the electrode and
the workpiece.
Before resetting the device, make sure to use the wand correctly and
check the wear and tear of the pads/brushes (and replace them if
necessary).
The electrolyte solution in the tank has fallen below the minimum level.
In this circumstance the device stops working. To resume operations it
is necessary to top up the liquid in the tank.
There is a problem with the START/STOP switch.
When the device is started with the
button, the switch on the wand
must not be on (if it is, press STOP).
If the error persists, it is possible that the START/STOP switch has
been damaged and is signalling a false permanent contact.
