3.1.5.1 Solvent manager: Flow LED
The Flow LED on the right-hand side of the power LED on the solvent manager’s front panel
indicates the flow status.
Table 3–2: Flow LED indications
LED mode and color Description
Unlit The module is idle.
Constant green Flow LED: The module has solvent flowing or
is running a diagnostic.
Flashing green The system is waiting for at least one module
to become operable. Warm-up times typically
cause such a delay. See the status message in
the console.
Flashing red An error stopped the module's operation. The
console displays a status message describing
the error that caused the failure.
Constant red A module failure prevents further operation.
Cycle power to the module. If the LED is still
constant red, contact your Waters service
representative.
Flashing red and green Used as a visual identification of a module
after you select it via the console.
3.1.5.2 µSM-FL: Run LED
The Run LED, located on the right-hand side of the power LED on the µSM-FL’s front panel,
indicates the run status.

LED mode and color Description
Unlit Module is idle.
Steady green The µSM-FL is operating normally, attempting
to complete any outstanding samples. When
sample requests are finished, the LED reverts
to the unlit mode.
Flashing green Initializing and preparing for normal operation.
Flashing red Error state. Refer to the instrument console for
information about the error.
