AF (speech) loopback
Why?
!
Provides an overall check of all components of the MS,
including the microphone and loudspeaker, while the
mobile station is transmitting on a traffic channel.
Requirements
!
Mobile station is on traffic channel (
{MS_Call}
or
{BS_Call}
pressed before).
!
Screen shows basic test mask.
How?
!
Press
{ETC}
, then AF-LOOP softkey.
!
In full duplex mode, talk into the microphone; you will
hear your own voice with a short delay. The
STABILOCK will indicate "speech loopback" in the
Signalling Status field.
!
In semi-duplex mode, talk into the microphone while the
message "speech recording" appears in the Sig-
nalling Status field. The STABILOCK records about
three seconds of the speech signal. When recording is
completed, you are asked to "Release PTT" in the status
line; the STABILOCK will then start the "Speech loop-
back" ie you can hear the recorded speech in the loud-
speaker of the MS. The signal is replayed repetitively.

Select
{RELEASE}
to conclude the measurements and to
return to the basic test mask. If you want to perform
more RF tests, re-start the call (eg press PTT button on
the mobile).
