TRANSFORMER
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Set the ohmmeter to the R X 1 scale.
Set digital ohmmeters to lowest scale.
3. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
contacts listed below. The meter should
indicate as shown in the chart below.
If the meter indicates an open circuit
(infinite Ω), replace the transformer.
Primary 30 - 35
Blue to Blue 1
White to White 2
Yellow to Blue 0.5
Primary 120VAC
Blue to Blue 22.5VAC
White to White 5.3VAC
Yellow to Blue 22.5VAC
NOTE: For visual clarity, the control panel
bracket in this photo has been removed
from the washer and tipped to show the
transformer. The control panel bracket
does not need to be removed to remove the
transformer.
