Chapter 7 Maintenance
Please observe that this is a professional industrial coffee
machine which needs regular maintenance and descaling.
Timing of descaling is calculated by the machine and
depends on the degree of hardness of the local mains
water and whether or not a filter is fitted.
The maintenance schedule is based on the degree of use
of the machine and is shown on the display. The coffee
machine can continue to be used after the maintenance
message, but the service work should be performed soon
in order to ensure functional reliability and to avoid
subsequent damages.
7.1 Coffee machine maintenance
The following Customer Care or maintenance stages are
provided:
Descaling: may be undertaken by the user/operator. •
• Customer Check-up every 15,000 coffees or annually,
whichever is sooner: may be undertaken by the user/
operator.
• Servicing every 30,000 coffees or every 2 years,
whichever is sooner: may only be undertaken by trained
personnel or by WMF Service, as in this instance safety
checks must be carried out.
• Revision after 6 years: may only be undertaken by
trained personnel or by WMF Service, as in this instance
components affecting safety must be replaced.
