Synchronizer
• Calibrates phase angle error detection of EGCP-2.
• Factory calibrated for zero phase angle error between bus and mains A
phase (depending on synchronizing operation) and A phase generator
inputs.
• With synchronizer in “check” mode, and a live bus, monitor the
synchroscope menu of the EGCP-2 for “phase angle”.
• Monitor Voltage across open gen contactor/breaker or panel synchroscope
for phase angle error between generator and bus.
• Adjust synchroscope calibration for lowest voltage across gen breaker, or
12 o’clock reading on panel mounted synchroscope.
