Specifying Output Settings
1. At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button, then touch the Tools tab.
2. Touch Device Settings.
3. Touch Output.
4. Make the desired changes to the features, then touch OK.
− Contention Management: Prioritizes copy and print jobs.
• Priority: Specifies the relative priority of the copy or print jobs. The lower the number, the
higher the priority.
• First In/First Out: Schedules jobs to print based on their entry into the Job Queue.
− Output Location: Specifies the location for jobs.
− Within Job Offsetting: Instructs the printer to separate print sets within an overall job. If you
select Disable, the printer stacks all printed sets together.
− Out of Staples Options: Specifies how the printer handles a print job that requires staples
when the printer has run out of staples.
Note: Not all options listed are supported on all printers. Some options apply only to a specific
printer model, configuration, operating system, or driver type. Some options are available only if a
finisher is installed.
