Emphasis in text
If a wire is drawn so that it
overlaps the pin of a symbol, the
two nets are not connected.
Byte/bit
“B” means “byte,”and
“b” means “bit”
8B word

EXCEPTIONS:
8B/10B = 8 bit/10 bit
64B/66B = 64 bit/66 bit
Hex and binary
notation
Hex and binary numbers are in a
monospace typeface.
The 0x prefix is often used to
designate a hex string.
