Removing the canister, throttle body,
and surge tank
1. Remove the holder 1 and canister 2.
2. Remove the bracket 3.
3. Disconnect the air pressure sensor cou-
pler a and vapor shut-off valve coupler
b, and then remove the throttle body
assembly wiring harness extension 4.
4. Remove the holder 5 and vapor shut-off
valve 6.
5. Remove the bracket 7 and throttle body
8, and then remove the throttle damper
plate 9.
6. Remove the air pressure sensor 0.
Checking the ETV
1. Turn the throttle valve manually and
check that it moves smoothly.
Checking the air pressure sensor
1. Check the air pressure sensor. See

57).
Checking the vapor shut-off valve
1. Check the vapor shut-off valve. See
“Checking the vapor shut-off valve” (5-
48).
Checking the canister
1. Check the canister. Replace if cracked.
