INSTALLING THE PRIMARY DRIVE GEAR
1. Install:
 straight key
 primary drive gear
1
 thrust washer
 lock washer
2
 primary drive gear nut
3
While holding the generator rotor with the
sheave holder, tighten the primary drive gear
nut.

INSTALLING THE CLUTCH
1. Install:
 clutch housing
1
 thrust washer
2
 clutch boss
3
 lock washer
 clutch boss nut
Make sure that the teeth on the lock washer are
correctly aligned with the grooves on the clutch
boss.
2. Tighten:
 clutch boss nut

While holding the clutch boss with the universal
clutch holder, tighten the clutch boss nut.

3. Bend the lock washer tab along a flat side of
the nut.
4. Lubricate:
 friction plates
 clutch plates
(with the recommended lubricant)
