D Clean the battery
terminals.
D Recharge or re-
place the battery.

Replace the main
switch.

3. Main switch
D Check the main switch for continuity.
Refer to “CHECKING THE SWITCHES”.
D Is the main switch OK?
YES
1. Main, and signaling system fuses
D Check the main ignition and signaling sys-
tem fuses for continuity.
Refer to “CHECKING THE FUSES” in chap-
ter 3.
D Are the main ignition and signaling system
fuses OK?
2. Battery
D Check the condition of the battery.
Refer to “CHECKING AND CHRGING THE
BATTERY” in chapter 3.
D Is the battery OK?

4. Wiring
D Check the entire signaling system’s wiring.
Refer to “CIRCUIT DIAGRAM”.
D Is the signaling system’s wiring properly con-
nected and without defects?
YES
Properly connect or
repair the signaling
system’s wring.
Check the condition
of each of the signal-
ing system’s circuits.
Refer to “CHECKING
THE SIGNALING
SYSTEM”.

TROUBLESHOOTING
D Any of the following fail to light: turn sig-
nal light, brake light or an indicator light.
D The forn fails to sound.
Check:
1. main and signaling system fuses
2. battery
3. main switch
4. wiring
(of the entrire signaling system)
D Before troubleshooting, remove the following
part(-s):
1) battery cover
2) rider’s seat
3) fuel tank
4) steering head side covers
5) headlight lens unit
6) tool box cover
7) left side cover
D Troubleshoot with the following special
tool(-s).
