4.7.1 Removing the Robot Shipping Brackets – UP20/UP20-6
CAUTION!
Failure to remove shipping brackets from robot before operating the
cell may result in damage to the robot drive mechanisms.
The UP20 and UP20-6 robots have two yellow shipping brackets (see Figure 4-9)
to stabilize it during shipping. One bracket secures the S-axis to the L-axis. Use an
8-mm Allen wrench to remove the bolt for this bracket. The other bracket secures
the L-axis to the U-axis. Use a 6-mm Allen wrench to remove the bolt for this
bracket.
