5. Slide the old brush out of the housing and replace it with the new one.

6. Squeeze the brush retaining spring and push the brush against the
faceplate then release. The spring must hold the brush firmly against
the face plate (Fig. 6-19).
7. Insert the ground cables onto the ground posts.
CAUTION
• The weld ground brush must be hold firmly and evenly against the
faceplate.
Uneven contact can subject the gear reducer bearing to weld current.
