2.3 Connecting the Power Supply and Turning the Power Switch On and Off
Connecting the Power Cord
1.
Check that the main power switch on the right side panel of the instrument is turned off.
2.
Connect the power cord plug to the power connector on the right side panel.
3.
Connect the other end of the cord to an outlet that meets the following conditions. Use a
grounded three-prong outlet.

Rated supply voltage* 100 VAC to 120 VAC, 220 VAC to 240 VAC
Permitted supply voltage range 90 VAC to 132 VAC, 198 VAC to 264 VAC
Rated supply frequency 50/60 Hz
Permitted supply frequency range 48 Hz to 63 Hz
Maximum power consumption 290 VA
* This instrument can use a 100 V or a 200 V power supply. The maximum rated voltage differs
according to the type of power cord. Check that the voltage supplied to the instrument is less than or
equal to the maximum rated voltage of the power cord that you will be using before use.
Turning On the Power Switch
Before Turning On the Power, Check That:
The instrument is installed properly. See section 2.2, “Appropriate Locations for Using the
Instrument.”
The power cord is connected properly. See “Connecting the Power Cord,” described earlier.
Turning On the Main Power Switch
1.
Switch the power switch on the right side panel to the ON ( | ) position.
The front-panel power switch illuminates in orange.
